fitted this dash cam because I wanted better coverage front and rear and I could tell quite quickly that it was a good upgrade from a more basic model. I use my car every day and I like knowing that both cameras are recording in 4K because it gives me a much better chance of catching number plates, road signs and the general flow of traffic if something happens. I also drive in the evening quite a lot so the night performance matters to me and this one does a good job when the light is poor or the roads are darker than usual. The gps is another feature I really like because I can keep a record of route and speed details which is useful if I ever need footage for insurance or to explain what happened. I have also used the app to check clips on my phone and the wifi transfer is quick enough that I am not left waiting around just to view a file. The parking mode is quite helpful when I leave the car outside and I like that the camera can lock important footage if there is an impact. The included 128GB card is a nice bonus too because I could get started right away instead of ordering extra bits first. For me this is the kind of dash cam that makes daily driving feel better protected and it is one of those upgrades that I am very happy to have in the car and it works fine so far.
This dash cam set raises the bar in terms of quality and value. 2 cams are included - one for the front and one for the rear. Both are 4K, so excellent quality recordings. It was easy to set up and nice to follow a physical instruction booklet rather than online versions. The included cables are plenty long enough for hiding in the trim. This can be done yourself quite easily to make it look neat and tidy. The app was easily downloaded and setup straightforward. Great that a 128MB memory card is included. Start-up times are fast and the viewing screen for the front camera is a good size. Really please with this item and well worth the money. Much better than top branded ones in my opinion.
Second GKU camera I have purchased.Used it to replace my faulty Thinkware camera.Video quality is as good if not better.Easy connection to app and lots of settings.
I am thoroughly impressed with the GKU E200. Right out of the box, it was clear that a lot of thought went into the package; it comes with absolutely everything you need for a clean setup, including a handy trim tool for tucking away the cables.Performance & QualityThe recording is sharp, and the wide-angle lenses offer fantastic coverage across all lanes. Ive found the low-light performance to be very good, the footage remains clear even on poorly lit roads. Downloading clips to the app is incredibly fast compared to other models Ive used.Installation & UseThe unit stays firmly attached to the windscreen without any wobbling. While the installation was a bit fiddly for my specific vehicle (having to route the power to a socket under the armrest), the camera itself is a breeze to operate. The app integration is seamless, making it very simple to review and save footage on my phone.A Note for VAG OwnersIf you drive a recent VAG car (Volkswagen, Audi, etc.), be aware that the 12V sockets often remain live even when the ignition is switched off. I am currently looking into a hardwire kit to connect directly to the fuse box to manage this, but that is a characteristic of the car rather than a fault with the dash cam itself.Pros:Crystal clear footage.Fast WiFi 6 for quick video downloads.Comprehensive kit including installation tools.Easy-to-use app.Overall, this is a premium bit of kit that offers great peace of mind. Highly recommended!
Title: Premium Build & Impressive Hardware Performance?Initial Impressions & Build Quality? From the moment you open the box, the GKU E200 distinguishes itself from the "budget" dash cam crowd. The packaging is robust, and the units themselves have a reassuring weight and solid construction. It doesn't feel like hollow plastic; it feels like a precision instrument designed to sit in a hot car for years.?Setup & Operation? The assembly of the wiring harness is intuitive. One standout feature is the physical user manual. Unlike many modern electronics that provide a QR code to a flimsy PDF, this includes a high-quality, full-color manual that makes the installation and configuration process much smoother.?Startup Speed: It takes approximately 14 seconds from power-on to the voice prompt confirming that recording has started. This is a reasonable window, ensuring youre protected by the time youve backed out of a driveway.?Screen Quality: The 3-inch IPS screen is vibrant with excellent viewing angles. This is crucial for checking the camera's alignment or viewing footage without having to squint or tilt your head.?App Integration & GPS?The mobile app is surprisingly polished. The interface is clean, but the real highlight is the GPS integration. Being able to overlay speed data and map coordinates directly onto the phone interface while reviewing footage adds a layer of "Verification Protocol" accuracy that is vital for insurance or evidence purposes. The 5.8GHz Wi-Fi 6 also makes downloading files significantly faster than the standard 2.4GHz bands found in cheaper models.?Pros?Starvis 2 Sensor: Excellent clarity and light handling.?Connectivity: High-speed Wi-Fi 6 for quick clip transfers to your phone.?In-Box Value: Includes a 128GB high-endurance card, which is a rare and welcome addition.?GPS: Accurate tracking for both speed and location.?Things to Note? The startup time is 14 seconds; while fast, just ensure you don't shift into gear and speed off before you hear that confirmation voice if you want total coverage from the second you start the engine.
