Yes, our dash cams are designed to begin recording automatically upon vehicle ignition, just provided they're properly powered and installed.And the camera's recording isn't dependent on WiFi connection. It records upon activation, saving to SD card.

If you can't connect to the dash cam's WiFi or watch the live broadcast, please disable VPN, Bluetooth, cellular data, security software and anti-virus APP on your cellphone. And authorize photo album app, location, wifi and cellular data.

You can connect to the GKU GO APP via WiFi, enter the APP and select camera settings, then click Format. Or format the memory card on your computer.

The dashcam may need a bit of power to save the last file before shutting down, or due to the car's power system. Monitor the car battery within 12H after turning off the car to prevent it from draining. We can send a hardwire kit to help avoid this.
